“Our Employment Specialists empower the homeless by developing life skills where they can be in a position to obtain employment.”

Employment Specialists facilitate the missing elements in the job search, from interview clothes, bus passes, tools and certification fees as well as connecting them to agencies that help with securing proper ID, social security numbers and work permits. Job Training, Development and Placement Services:

  • Job Training skills including, adult education and vocation programs in culinary arts, environmental services, security and other career fields
  • Job Development assistance including resume writing, interview skills, work and business clothing and basic materials
  • Job Placement with local employers who are willing to overlook resume gaps and background issues that would normally be an obstacle to employment

In the last 6 months our Job Placement specialists have placed 654 residents in jobs with over 150 local employers. Since Oct. 2011, we have placed more than 2,775 residents in jobs.
