FIRST ANNUAL BELLE NIGHT by Galerie 55Bellechasse

July 5, 2016

Miami (June 22nd, 2016) – On Tuesday, June 21st, Galerie 55Bellechasse hosted a Collector’s Private Dinner to celebrate the opening of the gallery’s US Showroom in Miami’s little River neighborhood, and as a new step in its collaboration with Chapman Partnership.

Housed in the studio of the gallery artist Jon Davis, the new Showroom – to be visited by appointment – will allow art lovers to access and discover artworks from the 15 permanent artists of the gallery throughout the year.

That same night, the studio became a unique setting for a five-course private dinner dedicated to VIP Collectors and influencers and for an exhibition of the artist’s works some of which had just returned from a show at the University of Maine Museum of Art. As part of the first annual Belle Night, a summertime art celebration inspired by the French Fête de la Musique, the guests also enjoyed finely tuned music during the whole evening and an early access to the new Showroom presenting all the artists of the gallery.

For the second time since the beginning of a yearly collaboration started in December 2015, Galerie 55Belechasse has raised funds in support of Chapman Partnership, a non-profit organization that empowers homeless men, women and children to build a positive future by providing the resources and assistance critical to growth and independence.

About Galerie 55Bellechasse
Since 2013, Bertrand Scholler and Hans Mautner have partnered in Galerie 55Bellechasse to participate in the emergence of fifteen international artists, with an approach that endeavors to combine some of the historic and traditional aspects of the art dealer’s profession and a more entrepreneurial and international approach to the issues which have been influencing this business for at least a decade. Thus, our artists represent a global geography, are generally young, ambitious and talented. We see it as our mission to help them further their individual careers through exposing their work to serious collectors around the world. Also we always wonder before making any choice of new artist, if their work can last, while they have something worthwhile to say which manifests itself in their work.
