INAUGURAL WQAM / JOE ROSE BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE BENEFITING THE HOMELESS CHILDREN AT CHAPMAN PARTNERSHIP

MIAMI, FL – Monday, July 22nd, 2013 –  This summer 560 WQAM Sports Radio and Sedano’s Supermarket are partnering up for the Inaugural Joe Rose Back to School Supply Drive benefiting Chapman Partnership from July 29 to Aug. 11, 2013.

“Having WQAM, Joe Rose and Sedano’s sponsoring this Back to School Supply Drive will have a tremendous impact on our ability to provide all of our children with much needed school supplies for the new school year,” said Alec Rosen, marketing manager at Chapman Partnership.

Currently there are 242children residing at Chapman Partnership’s North and South Centers. On average, about 800 school-age children, ranging from toddlers to high school age, go through the centers each year. To reach its goal Chapman Partnership relies on the community to assist in collecting needed items to provide each child with uniforms, backpacks and all other supplies such as pencils, notebooks and calculators.

“I’m proud to be associated with Chapman Partnership and Sedano’s Supermarket in the Inaugural WQAM / Joe Rose Back to School Supply Drive. Our goal is to raise awareness and much needed back to school supplies for the hundreds of homeless school children in our community,” said Joe Rose, a broadcaster at WQAM.  “I’m asking everyone in Miami to donate what you can, whether a box of pencils or a full backpack of supplies, that will go directly to homeless school-age kids so they can start the school year off on the right foot.”

WQAM radio will air live to promote the Back to School Drive at participating Sedano’s Supermarkets.

“Sedano’s Supermarkets is committed to serving the community through vital partnerships with such cause-worthy organizations like Chapman Partnership,” said Javier Herrán, chief marketing officer of Sedano’s. “We are honored to be able to help them get much of the needed school supplies for the children and families they serve so well all year long.”
