Peter T. Pruitt

Chairman of the Board

Pruitt is a long-standing member of the Chapman Partnership Board of Trustees and Executive Committee, serving the organization since 2012. Throughout his years of service, he has dedicated himself to delivering Alvah Chapman Jr.’s vision of ending homelessness in our community.

With more than 34 years of experience, Pruitt is an accomplished business professional and a devoted civic leader. He has a passion for helping those less fortunate and increasing the quality of life for the residents in Miami.

At Chapman Partnership, Pruitt served as Chair-Elect for one year prior to becoming chair and has served on the audit and financial committee, community support, and enterprise risk management for the organization.

Pruitt was the Past President and Chairman of the Orange Bowl Committee and served on the Advisory Board of the United Way of Miami-Dade County. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.


Carlos Fernandez-Guzman
Immediate Past Chair

Carlos Fernandez-Guzman was invited to serve on the Chapman Partnership Board in 2003 and served as vice chair since 2010. A well-respected banking veteran and community leader in South Florida, Mr. Fernandez-Guzman has close to 40 years private sector and banking industry experience. Currently he serves as a member of the board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific National Bank (PNB).

Mr. Fernandez-Guzman served as Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (2008-2009), has co-chaired FIU’s Master of Science in Finance Advisory Board, and chaired multiple community Boards and key committees including the boards of UnitedHome Care Services, Miami Capital Development and Miami Citywide Development. Mr. Fernandez-Guzman was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Board of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, was subsequently elected Treasurer and also serves as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee and as chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. Mr. Fernandez-Guzman also serves as Vice Chairman of the Banyan Healthcare Systems Foundation Board.

In 2012 the Ronald McDonald House Charities Award Committee selected him as one of its “Twelve Good Men”, and a member of the Greater Miami Chamber’s President’s Club Hall of Fame. Married for 38 years to Mari, Fernandez-Guzman is father to three children and grandfather to four.

Service from 2010 to 2014

Trish Bell was invited to serve on the Chapman Partnership Board beginning in 2004, and she served as a Vice Chair for five years and Chairman of the Board from 2010 to 2014. During her tenure as Board Chair, Mrs. Bell achieved her four overarching objectives: maintain the financial stability of day-to-day operations; strengthen donors, partners and community relationships; strengthen the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee and to position Chapman Partnership to be prepared to meet its future challenges. Mrs. Bell serves on the executive committee of Chapman Partnership and as Co-Chair of the Miami Science Museum among other community leadership positions. Mrs. Bell and her husband, Dan, are stakeholders in many non-profit organizations throughout the community, and she has been the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of her continued active involvement in service to the community.

Robert E. Chisholm, FAIA, has been a member of the Chapman Partnership Board of Directors and Executive Committee since 1993. He served as Chairman of the Design and Construction Committee from 1993 – 2005. He was named Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2005 to 2010. He is currently Past Chairman and member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. In addition to Mr. Chisholm receiving various awards throughout the years, he was recognized with the Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2006.


H. DANIEL VINCENTdaniel-vincent-leadership
President and CEO

H. Daniel Vincent, President  & CEO of Chapman Partnership since 2001 provides oversight of the entire agency and its programs.  His tenure with the organization includes serving on the Board of Directors for four years prior to employment.  Mr. Vincent has 33 years experience in non-profit organizational management, primarily with the Salvation Army.  He is an active member of local civic and business organizations, having served on the Board of Directors of Touching Miami With Love, served as Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade County Emergency Food & Shelter Board, and the Chair of the Miami-Dade Volunteers Organizing Action in Disasters.

Howard Rubin, Chief Financial Officer, has 21 years not-for-profit experience, 13 with Chapman Partnership.  Mr. Rubin has an MBA in Finance and has held the title of CFO with various companies throughout the nation for the past 25 years.



Lisa Magrinolisa-magrino-leadership
Chief Operating Officer

Lisa Magrino is responsible for the overall operation and programs of Chapman Partnership, providing strategic direction and counsel for resident and facilities-related decisions.

She has extensive experience in Operations Management, Program Development, Strategic Planning and mission-focused Process Improvement. She has worked, in a leadership capacity, at The CHARLEE Programs, The Florida Department of Children and Families and Henderson Mental Health Center. For the past several years, Lisa Magrino has also served in an executive leadership capacity working with individuals/families experiencing homelessness in both Broward and Miami-Dade County.

Lisa Magrino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.


Erika M. Laverdelerika-m-laverde-leadership
Vice President of Operations

Erika M. Laverde, Vice President of Operations, provides oversight of Facilities Management, Food Services and Resident Care areas of Chapman Partnership. With over 13 years of experience working with nonprofit and government organizations, she has worked the past 10 years with individuals/families experiencing homelessness in South Florida. Erika Laverde holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the Universidad Technológica de Pereira, Colombia, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University. In addition, Erika Laverde has trained as a Certified Professional Coach with the University of Miami.


Lois Schlamlois-schlam-leadership
Vice President, Human Resources, Planning and Organizational Development

Lois Schlam is responsible for providing strategic direction and partnering with senior management staff to ensure that we are attracting, developing, retaining and motivating the most qualified staff for Chapman Partnership.

She has extensive experience in Human Resources Management, Strategic Planning and Organizational Development in various organizations and industries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a multitude of senior-level certifications from Society for Human Resources Management, World at Work and the Institute of Organizational Development.


Flavia Llizoflavia_llizo
VP, Development and Marketing

Flavia Llizo executes the fundraising, marketing and volunteer strategies for the organization. Mrs. Llizo has more than 16 years of development experience working with both local and national mission driven organizations. Prior to her joining Chapman she served as Executive Director of Development and Major Gifts at the Miami Children’s Health Foundation where she managed a development team of 20 responsible for raising more than $15 million annually. She spent 10 years with the American Diabetes Association, 5 of which were spent as Executive Director for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties overseeing all of their local operations. Mrs. Llizo has experience in all areas of development including campaigns, major gifts, and special event fundraising. She is a graduate of Barry University with a Liberal Arts Degree and Specialization in Psychology.
